This online training program is not difficult to complete and the results can benefit the health and wellbeing of you and your family. The actions you take to eliminate environmental risks will also improve your property’s value.

If you believe clean water and healthy environment are important, using the Michigan Water Stewardship Program's (MWSP) online training tool will help you make changes in your daily routine than can really make a difference. These changes will allow you to invest in the future of your family, community, Michigan and our Great Lakes.


3 Important Objectives:

  • Identify environmental risks, concerns or problems in and around your home.
  • Learn how to better manage your home and property to save money and care for Michigan's natural resources.
  • Take preventive actions to safeguard your health and the environment.

Learn About Our Water is next!

Getting Started

You can go through the online training program one module at a time whenever it is most convenient for you. You don't need a lot of time to make a big difference so learn and review at your own pace. Sign up to create your own confidential online account so you can automatically track your progress as well as pick back up where you left off last.

Not sure where to start? Begin with "How Green Are You?" or "Learn About Our Water." Have a specific interest or topic in mind? Check out the "Environmental Campus" to go right to the information you are looking for.

The main idea is to identify risks that threaten your family's health or harm the environment. Then, where feasible, decide what alternative is right for you and your family - choose from a number of environmental best management practices (BMPs) which are all based on sound science and current research.
